Renewable Energy Resources Compliance Division

Formulates policies, plans and programs related to the compliance of Renewable Energy  developers with their financial obligations as provided for in their RE service contracts and ensures effective implementation thereof in accordance with government rules and regulations, and evaluates financial capabilities of prospective RE developers.

Geothermal, Solar & Wind

  • Formulates fiscal policy recommendations relative to geothermal, solar and wind energy resources service contracts
  • Evaluates the financial capabilities of  applicants for geothermal, solar and wind  RE service contracts
  • Coordinates on the financial aspects of the proposed geothermal, solar and wind  RE service contracts
  • Conducts detailed audit of geothermal, solar and wind  RE developers’ books of accounts
  • Evaluates geothermal, solar and wind RE developer’s compliance with their financial and other contractual  obligations
  • Prepares and maintains database on geothermal, solar and wind  RE developers’ financial data such as revenues, expenditures, participating interests in the consortium  and government shares
  • Conducts physical inventory of assets of geothermal, solar and wind RE developers
  • Monitors and remits to the DOE Treasury Division all monies due from geothermal, solar and wind RE developers  resulting from proceeds of production and other financial contractual obligations
  • Prepares and updates government share projections on production  and utilization of  geothermal, solar and wind energy resources
  • Coordinates and /or provides financial data  to various DOE units, government agencies and other stakeholders on geothermal, solar and wind  RE service contracts
  • Coordinates and monitors the  utilization of the  allocated budget
  • Consolidates and synthesizes the section’s accomplishment reports
  • Performs ad hoc  functions as may be assigned

Hydro, Ocean  & Biomass

  • Formulates fiscal policy recommendations relative to hydro, ocean and biomass energy resources service contracts
  • Evaluates the financial capabilities  of  applicants for hydro, ocean and biomass RE service contracts
  • Coordinates on the financial aspects of the proposed hydro, ocean & biomass section
  • Conducts detailed audit of hydro, ocean and biomass  RE developers’ books of accounts
  • Evaluates hydro, ocean and biomass RE developer’s compliance with their financial and other contractual  obligations
  • Prepares and maintains database on hydro, ocean and biomass RE developers’ financial data such as revenues, expenditures, participating interests in the consortium  and government shares
