Handles the preparation, drafting, review, negotiations, finalization, interpretation, filing and monitoring of compliance relative to all contracts, endorsements and other related renewable energy activities involving the department.

• Takes appropriate measures to enforce compliance with Republic Act No. 9513 (RA 9513), its Implementing Rules and Regulation (IRR), other renewable energy administrative issuances of the DOE and the provisions of renewable energy service/operating contracts
• Review, evaluate and interpret renewable energy service/operating contracts/agreements and submits comments, opinions and recommendations therefor
• Review the legal aspects of applications for tax-exempt importations/exportations of renewable energy service contract-related equipment and materials
• Review and evaluate endorsements to different government agencies involving renewable energy activities
• Participate in negotiations to finalize renewable energy service/operating contracts and other agreements entered into by the doe involving renewable energy related activities
• Prepare, research, drafts, finalize and file renewable energy service/operating contracts or agreements involving the doe
• Maintains appropriate database related to the aforementioned functions
• Coordinate with the Renewable Energy Management Bureau (REMB) and concerned government and non-government agencies relative to the aforementioned functions
• Perform ad hoc functions as may be assigned
