 (Taguig City). The Department of Energy (DOE) reports that at 1:46 p.m. today (06 September 2016), Line 1 and Line 2 of the Makban-Batangas 230kV transmission line tripped, resulting in the isolation of the following large power plants with a total capacity of 1,030 MW:

1. San Lorenzo (2x255 MW)

 2. Avion (100 MW)

 3. San Gabriel (420 MW)

The DOE and the Philippine Society of Mechanical Engineers signed a Memorandum of Agreement for the technical audit of the country’s generation, transmission and distribution facilities.
