CALL FOR COMMENTS:
The Department of Energy (DOE), through the Energy Utilization Management Bureau, solicits the comments and inputs on the following:
A. “National Energy Efficiency and Conservation Plan (NEECP)”

Likewise, after gathering all comments from the energy stakeholders, the DOE-EUMB will be scheduling a Public Consultation (Pubcon) for the finalization of the said guidelines. The revised version of these materials will be sent before the Pubcon to serve as your reference.

ADVISORY on WESM Mindanao

The commercial operation of the Wholesale Electricity Spot Market (WESM) in the Mindanao grid commenced today, 26 January 2023, at 005H dispatch interval.  

The Independent Electricity Market Operator of the Philippines (IEMOP) will oversee the market operations of WESM Mindanao, using its two main systems --- the Market Management System (MMS) and the Central Registration and Settlement System (CRSS). The MMS will determine the optimal dispatch schedule of all generators and customers in the grid, including their respective locational prices. Meanwhile, the CRSS will facilitate the registration of Market Participants and the settlement of WESM transactions. ###
